A GFE Resource

AmeriTitle is proud to be a GFE resource for our industry partners and consumers.

RESPA (Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act) is a consumer protection statute designed to help homebuyers be better shoppers in the home buying process and is enforced by HUD (Housing and Urban Development).

HUD requires that loan originators provide borrowers with a standard Good Faith Estimate (GFE) that clearly discloses key loan terms and closing costs. Closing agents are also required to provide borrowers with a new HUD-1 settlement statement.

With the goal of providing more clarity, transparency and certainty of mortgage costs for consumers, the following rules, forms, and links are provided:
